New Tutorial + Fabric Choosing Tips + Last Minute πŸ’• Projects

Hello Friends! Happy weekend!

Welcome to all of the new subscribers who came from the Quilted! Summit this past week! And thank you so much for the kind feeback.

In this week's newsletter edition I'm sharing a new tutorial, some fun last minuteπŸ’•'s projects as well as some very practical tips and suggestions for one of the biggest dilemmas in quilting.

New Tutorial This Week - How to make a Tumbler Patchwork Quilt

This week I finished a quilt I started a few weeks ago. Simple patchwork quilts are honestly one of my favorite kinds of quilts to make. They're SO fun to playing with and showing-off favorite fabrics and color palettes.

A Tumbler block is just another variation on traditional patchwork. It looks more complicated - and visually interesting - but in reality is nearly as simple to make.

Click below to read the post with all of my tips for making this fun variation on traditional patchwork.

Upcoming Events in February

On Monday I'll be live on 3 Things at @ 3 with My Girlfriend's Quilt Shoppe. Tune in for some Jelly Roll inspiration + find out what I made with this Blush and Butterscotch Jelly Roll!

I'm going to Quilt Con - Are you?

Who's going to Quilt Con in Phoenix in a couple of weeks? This will be my first time going to Quilt Con since 2018! Last year looked so great - I had some legitimate fomo. This year it's on my end of the country and I'm going! I'll be doing a demo in the Riley Blake Booth on Friday at 3:00. But mostly I'm just going for the visual feast and inspiration.

Let me know if you're going! I'm toying with the idea of some kind of casual meet-up - maybe for breakfast on Saturday morning (Feb 22)? Or just somewhere at the event itself. I'm looking for someone who might be willing to spearhead something. Let me know if you'll be there and you like doing that kind of thing... :)

My sewing room is back to a very non-neat condition at the moment, and I'm mostly okay with that. Part of the creativity cycle.

The main culprit is getting ready for the Live broadcast on Monday. I have some fun new quilts to share! Plus, sewing definitely helps ward off some of those seasonal blues this time of year (or any kind of blues really), doesn't it?

Thank goodness for sewing. Such good therapy.

Hope you are well. Stay warm (or cool - depending on your hemisphere) whereever you are.

See you next week!

xo,

Amy
