My Next Fabric Collection for Riley Blake Designs

I'm so excited to introduce my newest fabric collection for Riley Blake. Meet Mary Catherine! This line will arrive in stores in September.

This collection is inspired by the 1950's childhood of my own mom and mother-in-law with classic colors in faded, gentle hues.

The Last Blocks of the 2025 RBD Quilt Block Challenge

It's Memorial Day Weekend here in the US - which is also the official kick-off for summer! This week I've got a list of over 25 sewing and quilting projects perfect for the 4th of July.

For those here in the US, I hope you have an enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend. For those of you not here in the US, thank you so much for being here too! One of my favorite things about this quilty world is all of the international friends I've made because of our mutual love of quilting and sewing. It's wonderful that we have these opportunities to make these kind of worldwide connections.

It seems weird that I even need to say this, but due to recent circumstances I want to emphasize how much I and most of my fellow Americans value our international friends and neighbors, their cultures, diversity and perspectives.

I have an increased appreciation for international friends, allies and Memorial Day itself after visiting the American Military Cemetery in Normandy, France a few years ago. This is the final resting place of the service men who lost their lives in the D-Day invasions of WWII. It was incredibly sobering and humbling to see the visual reminder of the countless lives who sacrificed so much to liberate a continent and preserve democracy - many of whom were the ages of my two boys.

SO grateful for the sacrifices of our military members and their families today as well.

In the mean time, wishing you a good weekend with those you love and remembering those who have gone before.
