10 Tips for Quilting at Home + Fall Flashback + Day of Service Sewing Ideas

Greetings friends!

Quilter’s are good-hearted people. ❀ Thank you so much for the generous response to Wrap the World With Quilts that I featured last week. The quilts listed sold faster than I imagined. I'm considering listing more in the coming weeks.

Charities in Need of Fabric or Handmade Donations

SO many of you are involved in sewing for charitable causes. I love hearing about the ways that you are helping people in your local communities and around the world. The world needs love and so does your community.

As we remember the anniversary of 9/11 here in the US past coming week, I love that we honor that tragic day with a Day of Service.

With that in mind I thought I would put together a list of resources for finding charities in need of donations including hand-made goods or fabric.

Of course, opportunities to serve and help our local or global community are never restricted to certain days or places.

Feel free to pin this post to Pinterest to use as a resource if you're looking for charities in the future.

This weekend I've been at the Garden of Quilts event in Lehi, Utah. Big welcome to anyone who came in from out of town to attend the show. It's been so inspiring. It's my first time being there in a couple of years and it has been so inspiring to be back.

And to meet so many of you! Thank you SO much for those of you who came up and said hello!

Thursday I attended and talked briefly at seminar for quilt shop owners across the country. Bless all of the shop owners out there! Where would we get our fabric and inspiration with out them? It's such a labor of love.

Yesterday I gave a trunk show, taught a 3 hour class and vended and greeted folks at the Meet the Maker event last night.

Today I got to go back and hang out with the girls at Wrap the World with Quilts and get a chance to walk the show through the Gardens.

I have so much inspiration from the event that I'm excited to share with all of you over the coming weeks.

I'm not going to lie, I'm a little bit pooped. It's been a lot of fun but a lot of work.

And my house can use some serious recovery too. Here's a look at the glamor behind the scenes of this week. Quilts, trunk show and teaching supplies all over the floor. But first a nap. 😴

As always, thanks for checking in. Hope you have a great week and some good stitching time too.

xo,

Amy
