An Antique Quilt Cut in Half and Reunited! Plus Pool Tote Tutorial + Strawberry Project IdeasGreetings friends! I hope life is treating you well. Thanks so much for stopping by. Today I've got an Antique quilt with a fun personal connection and a bunch of fun, simple π summer sewing ideas. An Antique Quilt with an Amazing StoryI am a big fan of antique quilts - especially those made by 19th-century women of the western migration in the United States. They were hearty, heroic women who were used to doing hard things. I love that their quilts are a record of their artistic creativity and talents despite a rugged and often spartan life. In honor of Pioneer Day here in Utah this week, I'm sharing a post about a pioneer quilt that was cut in half, how the two halves found each other again 150 later, and how I discovered my own personal family connection to this quilt. I recently got to see in person and it was so spectacular. The story of the makers of this quilt is even better.
